As utterly pointless as it may be, I actually quite like the X6 M.

I am right there with you, my taste is for the unloved and non-popular models. I mean shit, I drive a Beetle...

While you’re at it, I’ll add one. I don’t like the Ferrari TheFerrari.

As long as pointless body styles still exist, it means the car market is still healthy enough to afford pointless body styles.

I don’t think it’s pointlessness would be so bad if it were purchased by a car enthusiast and then hooned real proper

The top half looks good. If it were a normal car it would look rather nice.

I actually agree with you on that. If I were given the choice, I would much rather have a P1 or a 918, but especially a P1.

This is a “fuck you” car, and an amazing one at that. This is a car that tells people “why yes I had enough money for a more practical X5M or even an M5 but I wanted this so bugger off”.

I got passed by one in this exact metallic smurf blue color the other day. There was a somewhat attractive woman driving it, dressed like she had just come out of Michael Jackson’s video for Smooth Criminal, complete with a fedora.
We exchanged a knowing, BMW driver look. I was...intrigued.

I respect this wrong opinion. Nah, I’m just messing with you...some people like these, I don’t know why...but they do and I have to respect that people just “like” something for no reason. They sell this for consumption, for example, and people keep buying it.

What about the one:1?

Enh, despite how balls-crazy fast it is, the One:1 has never really appealed to me in the same way the P1 has. I certainly wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to own one, hell no, but if I had the choice between the two, I’d go with the P1.

I don't mind the X6M, but I absolutely LOVE the X5M. Especially the E70. 10/10 would daily drive.

It’s too serious for a “Fuck you” car. I’m certain that most X6M owners would voraciously and condescendingly defend their choice.

I don’t see it as a serious car at all - you can’t be serious driving around in an impractical thing that proves a fool and his money are soon parted.

Maybe it’s my bias, but I can’t imagine a new BMW owner being silly.

Just because you aren’t serious doesn’t mean you are silly.

It’s so the rich boring dentist can buy something more expensive than his rich boring dental assistant’s X5, while
thinking
he got something different.

I’m more-or-less okay with BMW‘s crossover offerings; I don’t find them any more offensive or exciting than anyone else’s.
But this one is marred by two glaring issues, IMO. First is those driving/fog lamps - they don’t fit the design at all. Second are the vertical reflectors in the rear. Why vertical? They make the rear end look like a drooling slack-jawed ogre.

I will recant my X6M hate when I see one doing Sno-nuts
